3rd party software data in data box

Hi,

I am leasing a third party program that works with Ninjatrader. It does not have the ability to autotrade.

My question is....can I hire a programmer to write code based on this 3rd party programs buy and sell levels it publishes to Ninja's Data Box?

Thank you for the post.

If you are able to access the properties and methods of the Indicator/Addon dll in the NinjaScript editor, then your programmer can write a strategy that makes trades based on the data produced by the third party application.

Addons file is empty.....so I assume I can't access properties.

Thanks for the reply.

You will not need to look in the Add Ons folder. You would check for the custom assemblies under Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom on your PC.
However, the assembly is not what you need here. You need to know the methods and functions that can be called from the third party assembly in NinjaScript.
I recommend asking the developer of the third party assembly if their methods and functions are exposed for calling in another NinjaScript object.

before I call the vendor ,perhaps you are familiar with them and can answer
the third party is ABLESYS

Isn't the answer simply anything seen in the databox should be able to be picked up by a strategy?

That could be true. I do not have the assembly so I can not test it. Your questions would be better answered by the vendor that you purchased this Addon from.
