I been downloading eod bitcoin data for use on nt7 from the internet and have been getting this message. Can you tell me what is the problem?

Hello Kay Wai,

As a heads up, NinjaTrader does not support bitcoin and our NinjaTrader staff would not be able to assist with this.

That said, likely the $ is causing the instrument to be a currency.

Forex data can only be imported if it is 6 characters and is a "known" currency. Otherwise it will be imported as equity data.

The "known" currencies are:

"AUD", "GBP", "CAD", "EUR", "HKD", "JPY", "CHF", "USD", "KRW", "INR", "SEK", "MXN", "BRL", "SGD", "CNY", "MYR", "THB", "TWD", "NZD", "ZAR", "AED", "ARS", "BGN", "BND", "BOB", "CLP", "CNH", "COP", "CZK", "DKK", "EGP", "FJD", "HRK", "HUF", "IDR", "ILS", "KES", "LTL", "MAD", "NOK", "PEN", "PHP", "PKR", "PLN", "RON", "RSD", "RUB", "SAR", "TRY", "UAH", "VEF", "VND", "XAG", "XAU"
