TWS reconnection

Hi,

IB servers reset everyday (http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en...?ib_entity=llc)

and takes up to a few minutes before NT can reconnect.

The reset period seems to be longer than NT reconnection timeout (ie. NT tries to reconnection during the reset period but then give up on it (timeout) before IB server is back on line)

Is there anyway I can lengthen the reconnection timeout or anyway to work around this. I do full automatic trading and don't want to manually reconnect everyday.

Also, does NT have any plan to support IB API so that we can skip the crappy TWS altogether?

There is no way to set the timeout period. We do connect to the IB API. The only other option is their FIX interface which would bypass TWS but it is not commercially viable.

Is it now possible that NinjaTrader reconnects automatically after IB servers reset everyday ?

Hello,

This is not supported. You must manually reconnect each time IB resets their servers.
