Missing day, week, month, etc data

Hello,

Whenever I open a chart, tick data works fine, minute data works fine, but when I try to obtain daily, weekly, etc data I get nothing. If i'm lucky I get one bar at the end of the chart representing the current period. What might I be doing wrong or what do I need to do to view past data?

Hello,

Most likely your data feed provider does not support end of day data.

As a work around, you can use a 1440 minute chart for a day chart.

Saving Data

Since I don't want to pay for historical data, is there a way to save current data directly onto nijatrader? (not excel or anything). If so , how often would I have to do this in order to have data to look at as far back as I have been saving it. Thanks

If you have a realtime data feed NinjaTrader automatically saves that feed into its database which you can access whenever you want.
