How to determine what is sucking up memory?

    Hi there,

I have one workspace open which has 12 charts using several indicators. As you can see from the attached NT is using a lot of memory. Is it possible to somehow determine which indicator/chart is using up all the memory?

    Thanks
    Michelle

    Hello michellepace,

    Thank you for your post,

Unfortunately no, there is not a way to determine which is the cause outside of testing each individually. The best method would be to close all open workspaces via the Workspaces menu, then in a new workspace recreate a chart, only adding 1 indicator at a time while monitoring the memory usage. It may be best to let the chart run after each indicator is added to fully test the issue.

If third -party items are in use, see the below section of our help guide for more on using and troubleshooting these.

Hi Eric, thanks for your reply.

Is this at all possible in NT8 or does your answer remain the same?

        Thank you for your reply,

Yes, the same is also true with NinjaTrader 7.
