Do you have a Service Pack installed for V3.0 as well?

If so, please see post #19

is NT compatible with .NET 3.0

I'm having a problem using drawing tools after a new installation - wondering if it might be a NET compatibility problem? I have 3.0 installed now.

    thanks,

    Sean

Unfortunately this is a limitation of our current forum setup. We have it on our list though.

Do you think that you could please change the Searching minimum requirements in this forum? Looking for some details on this important patch was surprisingly time-consuming! One cannot search for the obvious:

    .NET 3.5 sp1

But I get the "... less than 4 characters ..." message on .NET. These should have instantly brought me to very specific threads. So I try having it ignore wildcards, in case you're using "." as a wildcard for any single character.

    ".net" "3.5" "sp1"

I then attempt to add likely words to the mix:

    ninjatrader framework .net sp1

Still with same error message (after several times attempting to search again within 10 and 20 seconds). But I had to wrestle with more and more far more generic words, without any good specific words:

    ninjatrader framework

Then I had to read over many more threads.

Don't you suppose that < 4 characters would be okay if there are several of them, or even one word with > 4 characters plus a < 4 character word? Also, the "." is very important in this type of search. I believe that is should be counted, and allow an escape character "\" or simply quotes to skirt it. What do you think?

Or is there some better way to have .net 3.5 sp1 work?

It looks like I'm cannot wait any longer for this patch. I must install .NET 3.5 sp1, as I must use SQL Server 2008 to confirm some compatibilities.

This is gonna kill me. I suppose there will be no more NinjaTrader running on my computer. Please work quickly!

Where would I be able to look to find out if you patched it yet?

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

No, this version does not yet have a work around, but development will release a work around ASAP.

Update from development is that we were able to determine working with Microsoft what the root cause is. The source is in a 3rd party library that NinjaTrader uses. We have been in touch with the developer of this library and they are working on a fix that they hope to have in a few weeks. Once we have this update from them, we will test and roll it out in our next update.

    Hello,

Our development team is working on the issue. It will be resolved as soon as possible, however we do not have an ETA for you at this time.

For now, please follow the link provided by Dierk below to uninstall 3.5. As Dierk mentioned it has worked for all other customers.

    .Net 3.5 SP1 update

Hi guys, just wondering if there is any further progress with this issue. I am now suffering from this problem, and will not be able to uninstall SP1.

Any idea's what in SP1 is causing NT to fall over?? Or when you expect to have a fix??

Not trying to hassle you, just interested.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Please proceed exactly (!) as per this link: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...1/8803442.aspx

It has helped for all other users so far.

I uninstall the components of the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. Nothing happens when I launch the NT.
