renko and IB with NT7

I know that renko is build upon tick data.
IB also does not keep historical tick data.

However, I read people using mt4 and charting renko using M1 data.

Can I do the same thing with NT7 with IB data?

The way it's going right now is I only see renko charts the moment I connect NT7 to IB.
It's not even exactly a chart...need some time to build the first BAR for the chart.
The next day, the data is gone.

Hello YCW,

Unfortunately not. It is not supported to load historical tick data from Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader. You will receive realtime data, so price bars are build as time passes by.

You can save all realtime data you receive in charts by enabling 'Save chart data as historical' at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab. As long as this option is enabled and you receive realtime data in a chart, the realtime data will be stored as historical data.
