Can't enable an alert!

Hi all.

I programmed an alert using the strategy wizard and that worked fine for several days.

Then I made a minor change (color of the alert text), recompiled OK (got the chime), even quit and re-started Ninja, but I can't get the alert enabled!

Whenever I change the "Enabled" parm to TRUE, click "Apply" and it changes immediately to FALSE!!!

Tearing my hair (well, whatever is left of it) out here!

What am I doing wrong???

Hello M_ichel,

You are setting Enabled to true on the strategy, is this correct?

(This wasn't copied to an indicator and added to the Market Analyzer, and an Alert filter added, is this correct?)

If the Strategy is becoming immediately disabled, its usually because the script is hitting an error.

Have you checked the Log tab of the Control Center for errors after the script is disabled?
What do these say?

Hi Chelsea.

I didn't see anything in the log.

However, I found my error: I was specifying an account to which I was not connected at the time...

Connected to that account, and now the alert is staying ENABLED.
