How do I stop that cash register sound from alerting every time a trailing stop moves?

Thanks for your post.

The NinjaTrader event sounds can be turned on/off in the NinjaTrader control center through Tools>Options. To turn off, uncheck the sound/event.

If I use the same indicator on a 5 min and on a volume chart is there a way to show a popup as well as a sound so I can have the 5 min popup and not the volume chart?
If I want different sounds on the 5 min vs the volume so I can quickly tell which chart, do I need to duplicate the indicator with a slightly different name and use one on the 5 min and the other on volume each with their own sound or can I have an input in variables for the type of wav file and choose the sound from within the charts?

In Ninjatrader7 these would have to be custom programmed. In NinjaTrader8 this could be done using simple chart alerts.

If the Ninjatrader7 indicator provides for a sound file and it shows a sound file location in the indicator panel then yes you would be able to use different sounds.

Is it possible to use an input under variables that lets me pick the wav file name on each chart like I could with numbers for other things like distances for arrows up or does the wav file need to be hard coded preset for each .cs file?

Yes, through custom coding you can create an input parameter for a sound file that the user can change when loading the indicator.
