Hotkey Breakeven

Hi,

I would to set the hotkey for break even, to go one tick above the entry price. How can I do this?

Thank you for your post.

It is possible to set a hot key for break even, but it will move your stop loss order to your exact entry price, not one tick above.

From the NinjaTrader Control Center, click Tools>Hot Key Manager. In the Order Entry section, there is a hot key condition called "Breakeven Position." Once enabled, this hot key will move a stop loss order to your exact entry price. Select a key/modifier combination for your hot key, and click OK. To test, I recommend using the Simulated Data feed.

I tried this a got the message "All hotkeys are inactive when a model form has focus"

What does that mean?

Thank you for your post.

This is just a warning that when a modal window is active Hotkeys will not function.

A modal window is a window that takes complete control of the software such as the window this message is displayed on and needs to be closed to use other functions of the platform.
