Problem loading chart data when changing equidistant bar spacing to false.

Hi - I'm running NT7, 7.0.1000.31 on a Win7Pro box.

I changed equidistant bar spacing to false on several charts. When booting up NT7, those charts don't load data correctly and change the title bar to indicate what chart it is. The title bar area remains blank/empty and nothing shows in the chart area. If I click on the title bar to highlight the chart, the chart area immediately fills out correctly and the chart name appears in the title bar.

This only affects those charts where I reset equidistant spacing. The remaining charts load up correctly.

First, you are using an older version of NinjaTrader 7. Please upgrade to the latest version.

• First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 7' if you are on NinjaTrader 7
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

After the upgrade, please clear your cache.

• Ensure NinjaTrader is shut down.
• Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db folder.
• Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
• Restart NinjaTrader and test.

Didn't work. Same result. Equidistant = False charts fail to load. All other charts loading correctly.

Not quite ready to migrate to NT8, but will do so in the future.

I misread your upgrade post - thought you meant to go to NT8.

I'll take a look at upgrading my NT7 to latest -NT7- later in week.

In the meantime, any other ideas?

Does it occur on a new workspace? Please follow the steps below to delete your cache once again and test with a blank workspace.

Please delete your cache and test with a blank workspace:
To delete the cache, follow the steps below.

• Shut down NinjaTrader.
• Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db folder.
• Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.

As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

• Ensure NinjaTrader is shut down.
  
• Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces
• Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML". DO NOT delete the 'workspaces' folder - only delete the '_Workspaces.XML' file within the 'workspaces' folder
  
• After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces.
• Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.
  
• *Please note this will not delete your workspace however the new blank workspace will be named Untitled1. If you have a workspace already named Untitled1 however you will not want to save the workspace when exiting NinjaTrader, otherwise it will overwrite it.

If there are no issues on this new workspace, please try opening the previous workspace by going to File--> Workspaces--> Open workspace.

If this reintroduces issues, I would suggest rebuilding your workspace.
