shaded zones and tabs

FYI - questions are for NT 7 - did not see option for NT 7 on forum main page.

First how can I draw horizontal shaded zones on a chart which will apply to all charts
as with a line?

Second - how can I add multiple tabs to combine studies on a single chart. Saw a video of it being done with an older version of NT.

Hello srbdoc,

In NinjaTrader 7 you can use a rectangle or a line to highlight an area. To have this show on all charts, right-click the drawing object select Properties... In the 'Attach to:' drop-down select All Charts with the instrument name.

NinjaTrader 7 does not have tabs for charts, however, NinjaTrader 8 has introduced this as a new feature.

Additionally, NinjaTrader 8 also has two new drawing tools for highlighting a region on the x axis and on the y axis called Region Highlight X and Region Highlight Y. These can be found in the NinjaTrader 8 chart drawing tools menu.

You can add as many indicators or strategies that you would like to a chart.
Right-click the chart -> select Indicators...
On the upper left, select an indicator and click the New button
Select another indicator and click the New button again
Repeat this for all indicators you would like to add to the chart, then click OK
