    This works for me when I test it with the IB demo connection, see screenshots.

    Can you please perform a restart of NinjaTrader and check if this will make a difference.

        It should work for you with these settings as well. Can you please double check if the BARC contains the same settings as the screenshot.

        Could it be you made changes to the BARC, but you did not remove/re-add it to your instrument list? If so, the change is not in effect. You will need to remove/re-add the instrument to your instrument list or restart NinjaTrader.

          have copied your settings... still get the 200 panic NT message on UK LSE stocks. Have tried a restart. Makes no difference. Regards

            Can you please send me your database, so I can further investigate. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att Jason, DATA feed for UK Stocks & FTSE >> advice sort !!' in the subject field and enable 'Database file'.

              LSE data NT 7

              I have solved that problem. Just needed to use BARC|LSE and the data comes through. Only one question is regarding typing in a symbol directly on a chart results in a chart that does not update. But when I use the drop down instrument list and select the instrument I do get a chart that updates.

              This is not the case with my german stocks... I can simply type in the ticker straight into the chart and the prices update.

              For UK stocks I have to type in the exchange so BARC LSE...

              any ideas why that is?

                Good to hear you got it to work.

                This is because the symbol map uses "|LSE". If you type the instrument, it will use the instrument with only BARC as symbol map (or it will create a new instrument with BARC as symbol map).

                  Ok but why is that the case for UK stocks on the default list and not for IBIS?

                  Another point is that I use to create my array:

                  Add("HSBA", PeriodType.Minute, 510);
                  Add("BATS", PeriodType.Minute, 510);
                  Add("GSK", PeriodType.Minute, 510);

                  when I use my IB connection I always get the error for each stock:

                  "Error on loading chart data for "HSBA Default": IB error on requesting historical data from IB : Invalid destination exchange specified (200)

                  This does not happen with my IBIS german stocks

                    Am I correct the IBIS stocks only have the instrument symbol in their mapping and no exchange?

                    Did you create these stocks in the Instrument Manager? If not, please do so and delete any stocks that were automatically created.

                      no they have the mapping IBIS in the instrument manager. just the same as the uk stocks have

                      these stocks were all created the same way in the inst manager,

                        Could it be IB's TWS has multiple instruments with the same symbol name for the UK stocks?

                        If you type a UK stock in the Name field of the NinjaTrader Instrument Manager and hit Search, could it be you have multiple instruments for the same stock?

                          There are no multiple exanples of one stock in the instrument manager. Also in historical data manager under edit there is only one stock

                          in TWS there tends to be a different exchange for each stock,. but this is also the case the IBIS products.

                          when using ADD i have tried BARC LSE in the code... doesnt work in the same way that it works on the direct chart entry

                          just tested it on superdom..... from the list of products it works with BARC....

                            As per the stocks in the array, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager. Highlight one of the UK stocks and click Edit. Make sure both the Default and Lse exchanges are enabled and click OK.

                            Make sure Exchange is set to Lse and then click the arrow pointing to the left. Do the same for the other two stocks. Click OK in the Instrument Manager and check if the error persists.

                            If not, please check if you can switch to these three stocks by manually typing its symbol in a chart as well.

                              All the stocks on the list come up by tipping in the ticker.... but none of them update. only with TICKER + LSE does a live updating chart get produced.

                                Basically LSE and IBIS stocks lists are set up the same way.

                                but;

                                IBIS - no problems with charts updating or strategy array code.

                                LSE - Can see live data on superdom
                                can download historical data

                                strategy array code for example "BARC" produces error and refers to default
                                exchange setting hence error

                                charts do not update with every incoming tick when for example BARC is typed
                                directly in - but when BARC LSE is typed in the charts update.

                                Mapping for BARC is BARC|LSE
                                is there a way to code BARC + Exchange into the Add() array?
