Is there a way to have your ATM strategy default to a particular account when you bring it up?

Hello pezram,

It is possible to have your live account automatically selected when manually connecting to your live account as long as Connect on startup is disabled.

To do this:
Ensure all the 'Connect on startup' is disabled for all connections.

• In the Control Center click -> Tools -> Account Connections
• Highlight your connection and click the Change... button
• Click Next once -> ensure 'Connect on startup' is unchecked.
• Click Next until Finish

Ensure 'Always start in simulation' is disabled

• Click Tools -> Options... -> select the Simulator-tab
• Ensure 'Always start in simulation' is unchecked

Save the live account and restart

• Select your live account in all NinjaTrader entry windows you like.
• Save your workspace by clicking File -> Workspaces -> Save Workspace
• Restart NinjaTrader

Once NinjaTrader is restarted, please check if the live account is selected once you are re-connected to your broker.

Please note:
*If the account name starts with a letter that comes after the "s" alphabetically, unfortunately it will not be possible to have NinjaTrader order entry windows automatically open up with the account due to the Sim101 being auto selected.
*If a data feed is connected first such as Kinetick or IQFeed, this will cause the Sim101 to be auto selected, as this will be the account of that data feed.

Not sure if I am doing it right but not working. I have 2 workspaces one I do live trading on the other I do sim both using charttrader. When I open up ninja and start my feed my atm strategys all gopen my live account. Ideally I want my live trading workspace to open in my live account and my sim workspace to open in my sim account.

I'm not aware that it would be possible to have some trade windows select the live account and some windows not select the live account.
(Saving the workspace is to prevent an error that may occur that no account is selected)

If you would like, I am happy to submit a feature request to allow the account selection to be saved on a per trade window basis with the workspace. Would you like to submit this as a feature request?
