unable to submit order - instrument not supported

Hello, I'm not sure this is the right area, but here goes.

I'm trying to trade corn 12-08, and I'm getting the following error:

"Unable to submit order 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' since instrument ZC 12-08 is not supported"

I'm using Tradestation email connection and chart CZ08. When I pull up corn in the superDOM, I have market data...

I'm using Zen-Fire with Tradestation email link.

This happens on every corn order I've tried. Other symbols work such as YM, ES, JY, etc.

Under the misc tab on instrument editor, I have the "external" set to "C|12-08". I've tried using "CZ08|12-08" in its place but it wasn't seeming to work. It's using the Globex exchange.

Any insight on what I'm doing wrong?

I would double check your symbol mapping, and check to see that your account has permission for this contract and contract date.

Please try Tools->Options->Misc->Reset instruments and restart NT.

I'm using TradeStations CZ08 which is the Dec 08 contract for corn. I reset my instrument list to default. I've contacted my brokerage and they said I have permission. Also they said no signals have reached them on a corn trade so I'm thinking I have an incorrect symbol map.

I've tried several combinations in the "external" section of the instrument manager, but haven't got it working yet. I'm getting the error in NT log saying "strategy filled order for cz08: unknown instrument CZ08"

I'm pretty much out of ideas so any help would be appreciated.

You can look up the symbol mapping in TS by right clicking the TS chart > Format Symbol> Lookup.

Try typing in corn.

The map you probably want is: ECZ08

ECZ08 in the external field? not working

What I don't get is why the data populates a DOM and I can place manual orders, but not ATI orders. But ATI orders for other symbols such as @YM or @ES or @JY work fine.

Hello,

The symbol mapping between you TS ATI chart and NT must be exact. There is something that is not matching.

Also, be sure that the strategy is operating propertly.

Symbols that start with "@" are continous contracts and require different symbol mapping found here:
