How to backup strategies?

Your NinjaScript strategies are within the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > bin > custom > Strategy folder.

I would recommend using NinjaTrader's built-in backup tool. Your strategies would be backed up as part of the "NinjaScript Files". Here is a link with more information:

Move the backup file created to your desired location. You can do so when creating the backup file. Here is a screenshot example:

error message while trying to backup

I received the following error message while trying to backup.
please advise.

I see the Workspaces folder but not the Strategy Folder in the backup items list ... but it
obviously must be backed up ... is that correct?

Strategies are NinjaScript and are backed up as part of the 'NinjaScript Files'.

Were you able to create the backup in the location of your choosing? Or did that backup fail as well? The error you received typically indicates that the Documents > 'NinjaTrader Backup' folder does not exist.

You can create this folder manually, or repair NinjaTrader to have this folder created automatically.

If you wish to repair:

• Shut down NinjaTrader,
• download the installer from the link below,
• run the installer and choose 'Repair'.
