Is it possible to create your own composite average using NT?

Hi, i'm new to NinjaTrader and just wanted to ask if anybody knows of a way to use NinjaTrader to create a single candlestick chart based on a custom composite avg?

So basically i want to add EOD prices from symbols of my choosing together and devide by the total number of stocks on my watch list to get an average. This would be in the form of either a single candlestick chart or P&F chart and the entire process, apart from stock selection, should be automated.

Is this possible or am i dreaming?

    Cheers,

    Andy

    Hello panvulcon,

Thank you or your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

What you are asking is possible through custom programming. You can create an indicator that pulls from a collection of instruments (added bar series) and plots values based on your calculations.

This requires some more advanced programming in NinjaScript (NinjaTrader's programming language). Examples of custom plotting can be found under Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicators > Heiken Ashi and CustomPlotSample.
I would also recommend the SampleMultiInstrument strategy under Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Strategies.

Refer to the following link for information on multiple instruments in your code: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...nstruments.htm

Please let me know if you have any questions.
