Data restrictions on demo (NT7-64)

Ninja Trader newbie. Trying to look at live data and charts for various instruments--MNF, the S&P mini contract, the Russell 2000 futures and the 5 year US treasuries contract. My guess (even though I added them to the instrument manager) is that they are not included in the demo data feed. The ZF contract will load data in the chart but will not update live (while the ZB and ZN charts update in real time). Curious whether this is a problem on my end or again, certain data not provided by the demo data feed.

In the data series tab on each chart I ask for different charts to load 10 days of historical data but it is not loaded. Again a restriction on the demo?

Thank you for your post,

You're correct, the demo data feed is not enabled for real-time quotes for ZF and MNF. On a live account, this data could be added but the demos are not changeable in this way.

You can check the Log tab of the Control Center to see errors about the data not being enabled.

You should, however, be able to access real-time data for the ES and TF. Make sure you're loading the current futures contract, 09-16 by performing an instrument rollover. See the video below.

So I may check the data on my end, what futures contract is not allowing you to request more historical data? E.g., ES 09-16, CL 10-16, ect. (Right click on the chart > Data Series > Days to Load).

First thanks for the timely reply. After adding ZF to the instrument manager I see on the log where it cant be enabled.

I have several workspaces open and will get back to you on the historical data.
