ZB contract price displaying on chart

Hello.

I'm drawing horizontal line on ZB 09-16 Chart and set Y to 172.20 (Data Tab of Horizontal Line Properties window) but it is placed 172'06 on Y-axis. Why ZB price on Y-axis has such kind of format?

The ZB reports in 32nd fractional values on the chart, you can divide the fraction by 320 to get the decimal.

For example for 124'240 this would convert to 124.75 as 240/320=.75

Is there any way to detect programmatically if an instrument reports in fractional values on the chart?

While there is no way to do this directly programmatically, we do provide the PointValue and Round2TickSize members of the Instrument object. I am providing documentation for each.

If a Tick size is a neat decimal fraction of a point value, such as 0.031250 , there is a good chance this instrument is displaying in fractional values.

You will always have exact price information reported to your script in terms of OHLC values for anything other than a forex cross, and a forex pair series containing the USD can always be used to obtain an exact price in USD for a forex cross.
