Cannot find JAVAW (IB)

Hi there,

I've just installed NT on a new laptop. When I go to try connect to Interactive Brokers using the same connection settings which work on my PC, I get the attached Error.

Could anyone please tell me how how to rectify this?

Hello AllanP,

This indicates an error in the set up for the javaw short cut. Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

• Close NinjaTrader and Traders Workstation
• Locate javaw.exe located in the following directory:
• C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin(Note your version may be different from jre1.8.0_25)
• You are going to COPY the javaw.exe file to the 'clipboard' (right-click Javaw.exe and select copy)
• Now paste it into the following two directories:
• C:\Windows\System32
• C:\Windows\SysWOW64
• Once this is complete launch NinjaTrader and try the connection to InterActive Brokers again.
