is tick data necessary?

Does NT have any capabilities to receive data that is not in the form of ticks? I don't need data that granular, and in fact would prefer something less resource intensive. I'd love to use IB's 5 second bars, but I don't believe you support them based on previous forum posts (btw, still no plans to do so? Seems like there are a ton of requests).

Any data feeds supported that are NOT tick feeds?

Thanks for your note.

In NinjaTrader, Second bars are available with NinjaTrader's native features but are built using Tick data. This is because there would not be a time-based data format smaller than Minute data available.

I am unaware of any data providers that provide sub-tick data for use with NinjaTrader.
