Tip:
If you are experiencing a slow and sluggish or even freezing NT7 on startup or when switching charts or downloading, most likely setting NT7 Priority to High will help significantly.
In Windows 10, Priority can be set from:
Right ClickTaskBar > Task Manager > Details > NinjaTrader.exe > Right Click > Set priority > Check High
This will work fine for any NT7 installation but you will need to do it every time on a re-start of NT7. A permanent setting to high priority can be done by changing the target file of your DeskTop NT7 Icon to the following address:
C:\PROGRA~2\NINJAT~1\bin64\NinjaTrader.exe"
Copy the above address > Right Click on NT7 Desk Top icon > Properties > highlight the Target file Address > Paste the above address.
And now the NT will always run with High priority. All other programs running in the background most likely run with normal priority and can not interfere with NT7 running.
This permanent method assumes your NT7 (64) has been installed with default locations.
