    managing windows/workspaces

    I know that I can open multiple workspaces. And I can use the Shift-F3 key to cycle workspaces. But, I don't see any way to cycle within a workspace. Or, do most people set up their charts such that per workspace, there is no hidden windows, so no need to cycle within a workspace? Just curious as to how people manage their windows. Thanks.

    I suspect they don't hide/minimize windows withing a workspace.

        Hi,

        Can you check in under File--> Workspaces and check how many workspaces are listed. Select one that isn't check marked, then after it has opened up try Shift +F3 again.

            Can you please try to repair your database and see if that works:

            Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
            * Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
            * From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
            * Select the "Misc" tab
            * Press the "Repair DB" button
            * Press the "OK" button

                  toggling workspaces

                  How do I "open" workspaces such that all are open,if not displayed.
                  How does one open all of one's workspaces?

                    You can open workspaces via File-->Workspaces-->Open Workspace. You can have 1 workspace active (displayed on your monitor(s)), but you can have multiple workspaces opened, meaning one workspace active and others running in the background. More information can be found at the link below.

                      highlighting or opening workspaces

                      Its not obvious to me how to highlight or open all the workspaces after reading the link at the top of the page.One day I clicked on default workspace and was able to toggle through all listed workspaces.The next day ,this didnt work.How to I open all workspaces and keep them open so that I can check the workspaces?Without having to go to teh work space list which takes too long and is a distraction?

                        You can open all workspaces via File-->Workspaces-->Open Workspace. Opened workspaces are listed at File-->Workspaces beneath 'Save Workspace As'.

                        Shift F3 can be used to toggle between the workspaces you have opened.

                          OPening workspaces and toggling

                          When I go to File,Open workspace,I get a window with my 2 dozen workspaces.
                          That do I do to activate them?I can highlight one in blue but only one.

                          When I go to file,workspaces,and check under Save workspace as...I see the list one of which has a check mark next to it.
                          What is the significance of the check mark.Still not able to readily activate and toggle workspaces.
                          The list under save as,that is "activated" will not toggle.

                          DOes the default need to be blank or something fot this to operate normally?

                            -Workspaces under "save workspace as" are active workspaces (they take up memory and load data)
                            -The Workspace with the checkmark is the workspace you are currently viewing.
                            -To toggle go to File --> Workspaces --> Open and open any workspaces you wish to toggle between.

                              default workspace

                              What is the default workspace used for .Some one told me it must be blank.Can it be prepared and saved in some design and then loaded with whatever symbol please?

                              IF I want to close a workspace,do I go to file ,workspace,open workspace,and do something to the list of idems contained therein?

                              TO OPen one from this location,do I highlight it in blue and press "OK".
