IB Multiple Accounts

Greetings,

I have four accounts with Interactive Brokers.

Two of the accounts are totally separate and use different usernames and passwords. The other two are in a Friends and Family account. (IRA's all in my name).

Can I trade all of these accounts via NT at the same time?

I would like to send 1 OCA trade to each account when I buy, (with OCA sell & stop identical for each account.

Do I need the multiple broker subscription or is this considered one broker since they are all in IB?

HI David,

You can create an account group if all accounts are listed under one master account. It's not possible to do this with your separate accounts.

Why?

Are order modifications and cancellations not replicated? That is painful! Basically it makes the Account Groups worthless, in my opinion. Any plan to change this in the next version?

This is the correct understanding, I'm not aware of this being a part of NT7 however I will submit this suggestion for future considerations.

We created account group on NT7 , and the control center shows the account group name in the right top corner of the window, But when we try to apply the strategy, it doesn't give me the option to select this account. But when we try to apply strategy, it applying to the master account with IB.
I understand that all the group accounts are the sub accounts for the master account but what will happen if it starts trigging trades, WIll i affect only the group accounts or all the accounts??

Unfortunately account groups cannot be traded with a NinjaScript automated strategy. If you have a master account in IB, NinjaTrader submits the order to this account. Once it leaves NT, it's handled by IB and not within our control.

we are trading thru the NT script strategy, we know that we cannot trade thru ATM. We cannot select the group account name from the account list drop box. All that it shows under the account names are the individual accounts and not the block account

i was using it on NT6.5 . Is it just not available on NT7??

Account groups in a NinjaScript strategy are not available in 6.5 or 7.
