    ATM help

I'm using the ATM to open 3 targets (3 positions at once). My strategy is to use the first position to reduce or eliminate my risk on positions 2 & 3, so I don't have to sweat the fluctuation in price movement as my position ages. So what I try to do is after opening the 3 positions and as soon as the the price takes off, at the first sign of a stall in price, I close the first position.

Since this is usually the time when price is starting to change direction, this stall often happens quickly and I sometimes have a hard time clicking the hold button on the superdom and then moving my 1st price target to the current price before the price starts to retreat.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to set up a shortcut key to close only the first position. I know I can just click the "close" button on the superdom, but that will close all positions. Any ideas or other ways of getting this done?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

There is a way to do this using your scale out feature in the properties of your superDOM. Please use the steps I have provided below.
    • Right click in your DOM
    • Open properties
    • set "scale quantity to 1"
After entering your positions please click the market on the sell side if you went long and vice versa. When this has been done the first contract will exit.

Thanks very much. I've changed the DOM properties as suggested and will try it out tomorrow.
