    No historical data

    Ninjatrader is not requesting any historical data. whenever i open a chart i only get data from the point that i signed in. usually i would get a dialog box saying "Loading data" and then another one saying "saving" but none of these message appears now. I am using ampfutures for data.

    Please go to Tools--> Account Connections--> select Zen-Fire--> Click change.

    Then make sure you have Enabled checked under Historical Data.

    Also please check your log tab for error messages.

      There is no error message in the log file and historical data is checked. I have been using ninjatrader without this problem up until this morning when i log in. I did a disk degragment last night so i don't know if that have anything to do with this problem. Also i have been playing around with with the data files in Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\db because of some other data problem i was experiencing.

        Please make sure you have created an allowance for NinjaTrader in your firewall (as this may have been reset). It sounds like you are having difficulty accesses the data servers.

          My firewall is currently off and i dont think that I am having problems accessing the data server because i am getting data from there. when i create a chart i can see current activity from the point that i logged on.

            The historical data is separate.

            If you go to Help--> License Key--> and click ok does the license verify as you would expect?

            Also when you right click in the chart is Reload historical data an option?

              Reload historical data is not a option when i right click on a chart and yes the license does verify as i would expect.

                    Could you please go to Tools-->Historical Data-->Delete and delete the historical data you like to display in your charts.

                    Open up a new chart and check if it will display historical data.

                    If not, I suggest to delete the database and use a fresh new one. Note, you will lose all ATM templates, trade history and saved chart data.

                    Go to My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db and delete the NinjaTrader.mdb file.

                    Start NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists.

                          Do you know the url and port setting for zenfire in Tools-->Option Data-->Data server?
