NT7 Silent Crash

I have had a few instances recently of Windows popping up a notification that NinjaTrader 7 has "stopped working" and needs to be closed. There is no obvious reason for this. It has happened whilst running a strategy and consequently there was an open trade on each occasion. Not optimal behaviour on the part of NT7 to just crash silently.

How do I find out why the program died? There is nothing in the Trace or Log files since the application was terminated by Windows. Is there a Windows log to which I can refer to find termination information?

Windows 10, NT 64-bit 7.0.1000.31, Multi-broker licence, NT FXCM broker for FX.

Typically, there would still be useful information in the Log and Trace file when the platform crashes in this manor. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

The log file will be named "log.20160714.txt"

You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

The trace file will be named "trace.20160714.txt"
