Position.AvgPrice not matching with real position price

the value of Position.AvgPrice is not matching with real position price that appears on the Positions tab.

What could be the cause?

Thank you for your note.

The reason you could see a discrepancy between these two is that Position.AvgPrice gets the average price of the strategy position whereas the position price on the Positions tab gets the average of the overall position (positions taken not part of the specific strategy).

I know what you mean. I also thought this but I made several tests and the Position.AvgPrice that is displayed just after entering the market (even if I wait several minutes) is different. Most of the times the problem is that Position.AvgPrice is rounded and the one that appears on the Positions tab has more decimals. This could be a high difference depending on what instrument we trade.

I don't think it's relevant but my broker is IB but the value in Positions tab is the same than the broker.
