Corrupt file problem

Hi - I'd installed a 3d party indicator that caused Ninja to crash. When I restarted, NT no longer had any logon info for my broker and a bunch of compile errors that corresponded to 3rd party indicators I'd previously installed (and that weren't the indicator I was using when the program crashed).

I went through and removed a bunch of .dll's that corresponded to the error messages, and succeeded in getting NT to the point where it would compile successfully, and re-entered my account/broker data info.

But something's still wrong - I can't install new indicators - see the attached .jpg of the error message. Also, thinking a clean reinstall might fix the problem, but when I tried to reinstall NT (download, select 'repair NT', etc.) the install doesn't run (message: "The specified account already exists").

Any thoughts on what I should do next? I could select 'remove NT' and then reinstall but wanted to check in first to make sure I won't lose saved file templates, indicators, etc.

Thank you for the reply.

The error message indicates that there may be a duplicate file in what you are trying to import. This can occur with some third party items if they share the same code or it can also happen if a file that was intended to be removed had remained in the custom folder.

For this I would suggest to email into our platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and provide the .zip file you are trying to import. I can review the file to see what may be conflicting and we could go from there. Please include a link to this thread for tracking.
