Hi Folks. Hopefully this is the right place to put this. I am a relatively new NT user having first tried the NT8 beta, and then going backwards to NT7. There are a few

Alerts: It is possible to get an alert for example if the 8 EMA crosses the 21 or 34 EMA ?

Trailing stop: Is it only possible to have it trail a numbers of ticks from the price, or is it possible to attach it to an indicator such as an offset 8 or 10 EMA ?

Panning the chart view. Zooming in and out is simple enough however except for the top right corner which "centers" the chart, I haven't found a way to move it up or down. In NT8, holding the z key mouse allows you to move the chart up or down independent of the zoom

Edit: One more thing about the forum. The way the forum is set-up for me, new replies always end up on top, meaning that to read the entire post in order I must find the last page and work backwards from the bottom to the top. Very strange ... any way to reverse that ?

There are a lot of features that were added to NinjaTrader 8 that are not found in NinjaTrader 7. The Major Enhancements that are in NinjaTrader 8 can be found here: http://ninjatrader.com/Downloads/Maj...njaTrader8.pdf
Some of the features you have listed below are not possible with NinjaTrader 7 except through advance NinjaScript programming. For example Alerts are easily configurabel in NinjaTrader 8 but to have an alert in NinjaTrader 7 you would need to use the Alert() method within an Indicator or Strategy. Please see the following link on the Alert() method:

You can not attach an order to an Indicator in NinjaTrader 7 either. You could through using custom programming set the value of an order to that of an indicator. You can set a trailing stop based off of a number of ticks away from the current price though. You can move the price on the chart in NinjaTrader 7 by hold thing Ctrl key + left clicking and dragging your mouse up and down. Please see the following link on navigating a chart in NinjaTrader 7: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...ng_a_chart.htm

You can change the order of the way threads appear by going to User CPon the title bar > Edit Options > Thread Display Options > Thread Display Mode.
