    Problems with Market Replay

    Hi. When I use market replay the data appears to download with no issues, and I can move the chart to the appropriate date/time using the From/To dates and slider.. but nothing moves on the chart! Please see recording here: https://snap.ashampoo.com/FDnyk75s

    Thank you for writing in.

    Please right-click on the Market Replay Controller and select Available Data.

    Can you confirm that you have data for the YM 09-16? Can you please provide a screenshot of what you see in the Available Data window?

      Hi Zachary, thanks. I didn't realise you have to download data one day at a time!!! That's somewhat impractical for the type of trading I do ~ I'll take a look at http://marketreplaydata.com/download ,which might be a soluton.

        I used http://marketreplaydata.com/download to download the data ~ this seems to be a very good, free service!! But the chart is still not moving: https://snap.ashampoo.com/AeHdp8Cj

          Hello cognis0,

          As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

          Shut down NinjaTrader

          Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces

          Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML". DO NOT delete the 'workspaces' folder - only delete the '_Workspaces.XML' file within the 'workspaces' folder

          After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces.

          Please retry playing the Market Recorder. Do the charts update?

            Thanks Alan. I've gone through those steps and created a new chart with no template. But I am seeing the same as before (no movement on the chart). I can move the chart to a new day using the slider, but the chart never moves forward (price or time) from the first bar that I can see for that day (I'm set to UK time so this is 4am on my charts), which seems to be at 11pm Eastern from the previous day.

              Hello,

              I have been unable to reproduce the issue. I noticed from your screen shot you have YM reply data for the 06-16 contract however the chart behind is YM 09-16. Please try running Market Reply on a YM 06-16 chart.

              Did this resolve the issue?
