NT Data file getting too large

    Hello.

My directory -> \NinjaTrader 7\db\data is getting too large. I have sub folders with data going back to 2011.

I want to remove most of that data. If I use "Reset DB", connect to my CQG data feed and pull in the previous 30 days of data, will that solve the problem?

    Regards,
    R. C.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your note.

This would be your Market Replay data, so resetting the database would not change this data. However, inside that folder you will find a sub-folder for each day Market Replay data was recorded or downloaded for. You could remove any folder you do not wish to keep.

One more space question about \Documents\Ninja Trader 7\db\tick.

With NT down can I just manually delete folders with old tick data, or is there another recommended way to get rid of them?

        Hello rcsingleton,

If you wish to delete historical tick data for specific instruments, then you can delete it from the \Documents\Ninja Trader 7\db\tick folder as mentioned. Ensure that you do not delete the tick folder itself; just the contents inside.

Please, let us know if we may be of further assistance.
