Chart Trader Stop Limit

I'm using Chart Trader on a sim account to submit stop limit orders. When the stop price is hit I expect a limit order to be placed x ticks below the market, where x is the number of ticks I specify in the chart trader window prompt at the time I submit the order. For example, if I place a stop buy at 2117.75 with a 2 tick limit, I expect that when price moves up to 2117.75 that a limit order will be placed at 2117.25. But that's not what happens. Instead, as soon as price moves to 2117.75 I'm filled at 2117.25, as if it was a stop market.

Thank you for your post.

For the order to be submitted at 2117.25 once triggered at 2117.75 when submitting your Buy Stop Limit order please input a value of -2 when prompted in the offset window.

Please let me know if the issue persists using the -2 offset.

Yes that works. Makes sense. It's the same for short trades as well: if you want the limit order to be at a better entry for a short ( a higher price ) you also enter a negative value. Thanks.

Correct this negative value would be used when submitting a Sell Stop Limit order.
