How do I short to add to my short position? [Chart Trader]

Hi NT,

Say I shorted my position at 4510, then the market goes down and it's moving fast to 4,500. I want to place an order so that when it hits 4,998, I take another short position.
How do I go about doing that without having to sell the market?

I made the mistake this morning of wanting to add to my short position and instead got an 'exit' message. Not sure what it was but it was definitely not what I wanted to do.

The options I get when right clicking on chart trader are 'buy limit' 'sell stop' and 'sell stop limit'.

Thank you for your post.

In this scenario you would submit either a Sell Stop or Sell Stop Limit at the price 4,998 which would add to your current short position when executed.
