How does a stop order work in NinjaTrader?

How does a stop order work in NinjaTrader?
For example. I place a Stop Order as Buy Order. Where is the Order place? Only at the NinjaTrader or also at the Exchange?

Or when the Trigger is arrived a market order goes from NT to the Exchange?

Thank you for your post.

How the order reflects within the Control Center 'Orders' tab under the 'State' column will tell you just how the order has gone through in the exchange.

Of course this can vary depending on the brokerage being used, details on where orders reside can be found here:
