Hi there, I've got another little snag on running real-time data from TS into Ninja.
I'm trying to create a volume chart but it doesn't even come close to matching the same volume chart on Tradestation. TS will print 5 bars and Ninja will print only one and they're set exactly the same.

I'm running the NTExternalFeed strategy in a tick chart window. Could this be the cause? Should I run it in a different timeframe or on an actual volume chart to get them to match?

The strategy that runs on the chart that feeds NT the volume sends NT whatever the strategy is giving it. Maybe there is some throttling in TS on strategies? Not sure.

Ok, thank you. I will try it on a new chart window and see if it changes things.

Here's my report back. My Ninja chart did match my tradestation Volume chart for about 5 min and then Ninja started getting bogged down and wasn't moving like the TS chart anymore. It must just be too fast of a chart to translate into ninja with Tradestation Data.

Hi Ray, I've got a new chapter in this story for you. Even on minute chats I am not getting volume coming though. It's like TS is not exporting the volume. When I do the "NTDataDownload" I get proper volume but when I run it in real-time I barely get any volume. I show 100 where there's supposed to be 5000. Any idea how I can unleash the volume?

You will have to take a look at the NTExternalFeed Easy Language Strategy. This may be a limitation of what TradeStation give us.

In a nutshell, on each bar, we take the volume difference from the current bar and the last bar and push this different through to NT.

It is provided as is, you are free to change the logic as you see fit of course.
