    Hi blazer,

Can you please go to Tools-->Options-->Misc-tab and click Reset Instruments. Create a new chart for the YM 09-08 and check if you receive data in the chart.

Note, MBTrading does not support historical data.

        Hi Blazer,

The DJIA is the direct index and is not tradable directly. Unless you bought all stocks contained within the index. To make this item tradable futures exchanges created index futures. This combines all stocks in the index and allows you to purchase the index on margin at a future delivery date. This lowers the cost of the index to make it tradable to the average trader.

Thus the DJIA is the direct index that is quoted by taking an average of all Dow Jones industrial stocks. The YM contract is the mini-Dow Jones Industrial futures contract.

Unfortunately, Gain only supports forex data and no futures data. You can find all supported data feed providers and the services they offer at the link below.

In addition, you would had to use the 09-08 expiry setting, since the June contract (06-09) expired recently.

              Alo alo,

I still didnt figure out how to setup a dow chart with mbtrading.

My YM is 06-08 and something is wrong with that. How I can fix the correct date ?
              It must be something simple.
              Thank you

                Hello Blazer,

The contract needs to be rolled over from 06-08 to 09-08, below I have supplied instructions on how to do this.

Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.
                • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
                • Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
                • Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
                • Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date
Click here for a video and further instructions

Are you an a MBT demo account? MBT demo accounts might not have the 09-08 expiry enables yet (there usually are behind). Please contact MBT support for clarification.

No dow data for mbtrading forex accounts.

It will be nice if you could provide data from gain in the future.

It is very usefull for reference.

Either wise we must have open a separate ****o mt4 platform just for this.lol.

                      Cheers

Not sure I follow. What do you mean by "dow data"? Please elaborate.

If you need data from GAIN, I suggest contacting GAIN for a demo account.

                          Hello,

If you have only a forex account and not an equity account, mbtrading doesnt provide fresh data for dow index.

Gain doesn't offer too as you told me.So there is no solution to have a dow chart for reference while trading forex.

So have it in mind for the future. It might be possible to have the dats through the gain feed if you ask it as a company.

                          Cheers

NinjaTrader is not a data provider. If neither MBT nor GAIN provides the data you are looking for, then you need to subscribe to a service which provides this data.

                              Yea I know.

But since we take the historical data and live feed for the currencies from gain at ninja servers will it be difficult to have the indexes too ?

                              Cheers
