Trading hours

Maybe because I live in Germany: I can not find the switch to define the trading hours of an Index or future. So the moving averages are calculated including data from post trading hours too.

For example the German DAX index is traded from 9:00 am too 5:30 am while the FDAX Future is traded from 8:00am to 10pm.

I would like data outside of these periods to be excluded from charting.

Please try Right click on chart->Properties->Session begin/end.

It's worth mentioning for your consideration that some instruments have two sessions a day. Common with Asian indices for example.

- which instrument
- which session begin/end times e.g. based on EST

HSI, hang seng has 2 sessions per day AFAIK.

Can we set the "off market hours" to display in different background color from "pre market" and "trading hours"?

You can by custom coding an indicator which sets the BackColor property accordingly.
