    Failed to send mail - Authentication Required

    So I was trying to send log and trace files, and Windows10 popped up and asked me to pick a default app to use...I use gmail and so I clicked on Chrome, which just opened a Chrome browswer window, then I got an alert from gmail that a suspicoius device tried to access my account and was denied. Now when I try to send any test email or log and trace files from Ninja, I get a pop up warning that it failed to send mail due to "server resposne 5.5.1 Authentication Required". Any idea how I can undo this?

      That doesn't help, I already had it configured properly, and it's still configured properly, but I get this authentication error now.

        Hello LightWeight,

        Just to confirm, you have setup your gmail with application specific password and you have used this application specific password for NinjaTrader and you are still getting this error, is this correct?

        If so, please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com. In the email include a link to this thread.

          I think I found a work around...I had to go into Windows10 and set the default app for mail to "Mail", which is a Windows10 feature, and then link that to my gmail account, and then I was able to send the log and trace files. I still can't send test messages however without getting that authentication pop-up, but the log files were the important part.

            Hello LightWeight,

            In this case, the emails are being handled by your default email handler and are not being sent by NinjaTrader. This means NinjaTrader is not set up to send emails.
