    Templates gone ?

Of 8 saved templates, 4 are as last seen on 04/16/16. The other 4 templates are now identicle, with the same 3 columns : Intrument, LastPrice and Daily Volume. When last seen, 04/16/16, they all had about 15 more columns (with some variations), all built on custom indicators. The indicators seem OK and can be added as before. The 4 templates in question have files that are in /My Documents/Ninjatrader 7/Templates/MarketAnalyzer. All have different 'Modified Dates" and are different size, ranging from 317 KB to 342 KB, as I would expect for the templates as they were. Does this seem as expected to you ? Can I recover my non-backed up files.

    Thanks,

Bruce, NT lifer for years . . .

    Hello Bruce,

    Thanks for your post.

Since you do not have a backup, ensure to do backups regularly to prevent loss.
I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over backing up and restoring.

You may be able to restore your templates to an earlier version in Windows
To do this within Windows open Documents> NinjaTrader 7> templates
Right click on the MarketAnalyzer*folder and select Properties
See if you have the ability to restore to an earlier version

If not, you will need to recreate your*templates

I was able to restore as you suggested. The restored file is dated 04/11/16, and is 1KB smaller (341KB) than the "current" version (342KB) which is what I'd expect. However, the restored file is the same as the "current" version, only 3 columns where there should be about 18. When I save the restored 341Kb file to a new name, it saves to 7KB. Any idea where the rest of the files are ? Would a "backed up" file be any better than a restored file ?

        Hello BGWTEX,
        Thanks for your reply.
It seems this is not available on your system. You will not be able to restore it.
Yes, a backup could help and I would recommend doing regular backups.
At this time you will need to recreate your Market Analyzer set up.
