Is it possible to plot the OHLC for every day automatically?

Thanks for the feedback, Johnny. There is not one magic formula for implementation of a feature. You've done your part - informing us of your desire for this feature. On our end, we'll continue to track this feature request. I'd recommend monitoring the release notes so you can see what changes are made with each new release:
-
So, if enough people request it, you will add it?
It's a basic tool, IMO, so I'm sure many people would like to have this.
To be honest, this (lack of basic indicators and lack of fast implementation) pretty much convinced me to change to Sierra Charts (and I know maaaany users have done so because of the mentioned reasons and others) which can do this (OHLC) and a lot, lot more customizable studies.
But, I still love Ninja and don't want to learn a new platform right now, so I'm staying with Ninja.
I'm not saying this to be a difficult customer, but I think you should know what customers value and look for.

Difficulty of implementation is only one of many factors which determines when and if a feature request is implemented. Another factor would be user demand.
We are currently tracking demand for this feature, but do not have any update at this time.

I suspect it takes a competent coder less than 30 minutes to create the indicator. I know other companies that implement feedback from customers very quickly.
I think that daily OHLC lines would be considered a basic utility and something most traders would like to have on their charts.
It would be nice to not have to rely on 3rd party code for very simple stuff...

CurrentDayOHL and PriorDayOHLC are available in NinjaTrader 8.
The specific suggestion in this thread has not yet been implemented.

Is this indicator currently available in NT8?
I'm away from my main computer and can't check at the moment.

The suggestion to support such an indicator by default has been added to the list of possible future enhancements and is assigned to SFT-2840.

Hi, Jason,
I did get access to such an indicator thanks to a very helpful fellow trader, but I'd prefer not to use 3rd party indicators in case it could reduce performance or cause crashes.
It's a rather simple indicator, I think, so would be great if this could materialize.

Hello Johnny,
Unfortunately we do not have such an indicator available by default. You would have to create a custom indicator that plots horizontal lines each session at the OHLC. I will forward your suggestion to support such an indicator to development.

Hi,
Any news here?
I just downloaded NT 8 and as far as I can tell, there is no indicator supporting this very simple task.
I simply want a horisontal line from start to finish for the Open, High, Low, Close for each trading session.
I currently use the "Current Day OHL" and it works okay for the Open price (although I could do without the line from one session to the next), but the High/Low values are plotted at intervals throughout the day...
Also, no Close line.
I imagine this very simple indicator is something a lot of traders would be interested in having on their charts.

Yes, this is possible but it will not plot the lines properly. If I use a negative displacement of -740 at this moment. It will shift the lines 740 bars to the left. However yesterdays session now shows two sets of OHLC lines. The day before that as well and so on.
It would work properly if the current session has the same amount of price bars as previous sessions.

Sadly, the CurrentDayOHL does not accomplish what I want. I could do without the Close price.
I would like the the same lines from PriorDayOHLC, but plotted on the the actual prior day which they're referring to and not on the current day.
Not possible?

I will forward your suggestion to development. Thank you for your feedback.

Okay. Thanks anyway.
Maybe this would be possible to implement in the future?
Should be a pretty small adjustment of the PriorDayOHLC indicator.
