no live data on ZF futures

Hi there,

I have the ninjatrader 7, (simulation only).

The issue I have is that I can't get live data for ZF futures. (I do get live data for ZB and ZN).

Is there any limitation with the free version? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello David,

I assume you connect to the NinjaTrader Continuum demo connection. It is as expected that you do not receive realtime data for the ZF futures. It is not included as per the NinjaTrader Continuum demo connection.

If you connect to a different connection, please let me know which one.

Right now, I am using CQG.

If this is a CQG demo connection, unfortunately it is as expected.

If this is a live account connection, please contact your broker to check your data entitlements.

Unfortunately there is no list that shows which instruments are supported as per the demo connection.

The demo connection provides realtime data for most common futures. If you do not receive realtime data for an instrument, it is likely not supported.

last question: if I open an account, I assume I can simulate trading in any market, right?

No, you can only trade the instruments for which you receive realtime data. So you can only trade the instruments that are authorized for your account.

It depends on what futures instruments you enable for your live account.
