    Object transfer

I'm being a slacker by not delving into this myself but WTF.
So, is there a way to transfer a chart object (like for example a chart marker) between the same chart which is housed in two different workspaces?

    Hello ljyoung,

Any drawing objects that are set to (All Charts) will appear on all charts of the same instrument in all workspaces.

However, it would not be possible to manually draw a drawing object with NinjaTrader and have this appear on all charts for all instruments.

Below is a link to a video that demonstrates setting a chart to (All Charts).

Thanks ChelseaB. I see what you are saying and it appears that what I want is different, i.e., to have the object (like a chart marker) transferred from a 6/16 15 min chart in one workspace to a 6/16 15 min chart in another workspace.

        Hello ljyoung,

To confirm, you want to remove this from the first chart and add this to a second chart in a different workspace, is this correct?

Set the line to (All Charts)
Go to the other workspace, the drawing object will appear on that chart as well (if it is the same instrument)
On the target chart unset the (All Charts) and select this chart.

Below is a link to a video to demonstrate.

Tantalizingly close unless I'm missing something, which not infrequently happens.

What I would like is to have that line which you initially drew in 'Untitled 1' to be transferred to 'Untitled 2', which you did, and then after the transfer, to have it present in both 'Untitled 1' and 'Untitled 2', simultaneously.

            Hello ljyoung,

That would be my first instructions from post #2.

Just set the object to All Charts and it will exist on both charts. (Don't set it back to the individual chart at the end)

But then the marker goes to ALL charts not just the two charts which I specified.

Please understand I'm not whining, simply asking.

                Hello ljyoung,

It will not be possible to set an object to appear on two charts without appearing on all charts. You can always copy a drawing object though.
                1. Set object to all charts on chart 1.
                2. Right-click the object, select Copy.
                3. Right-click chart select Paste
                4. On chart 1 set original object to this chart only.
                5. On chart 2 set copy object to this chart only.

Thanks ChelseaB for your time and interest. For sure what you said is a workaround.
