Throttling the feed

I am writing a strategy that uses 5 minute candle charts - and only processes bar data at the end of each bar.

I dont want my feed to update every tick - what I'd really like is for it to go silent and only grab feed information every minute or something very truncated so that I dont use so much data.

So is there a way to throttle the Ninja Trader Continuum feed so that it does not use data but infrequently?

Thank you for your note.

You do not have control over the data feed connection. NinjaTrader will receive every tick when connected.

However, you can control when your script processes data. You can use a timer or just set the chart to use a particular bar type for an interval.
