    Market Replay: Little date picker window disapears

    Hi there,

    Sometimes while I am connected to Market Replay, the little date picker window with title "replay" dissapears. Is there any way of making this window visible again without having to disconnect and reconnect to market replay?

    Hello Michelle,

    Can you please take the following steps.

    - Shut down NinjaTrader
    - Navigate to Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces
    - Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML" that is within the workspaces folder.

    *Please note this will not delete your workspace however the new blank workspace will be named Untitled1. If you have a workspace already named Untitled1, you will not want to save the workspace when exiting NinjaTrader, otherwise it will overwrite it.

    Start NinjaTrader, connect to the Market Replay connection and check if the Market Replay control window will not disappear anymore.

      Thanks Jason, but I think you may have misread my question. I can get the date picker window open again provided I disconnect and reconnect to data replay. Here you are suggesting I taking this even further by restarting NT, why?

        I suspect there is corruption in the _Workspaces.xml file that causes the Market Replay control window to disappear. Can you please check if the issue persists when using a new _Workspaces.xml file.

          oh okay I see - - I went and deleted the _Workspaces.xml file, I then opened up NT and whilst connected to Continuum opened up the workspace where I am trying to replay data. Everthing opened as per normal, I closed the workspace, shut down NT again. Again deleted _Workspaces.xml and opened up NT again connecting to Market Replay and saw the "date picker". I opened the same workspace where I want replay data, as soon as I did the "date picker" disappeared.

          If I try this process with a difference workspace the result is the same.

          Any other suggestions?

            Do you still see the Market Replay control window in the Windows task bar?

            Could it be it is behind a chart of the workspace that you open? Please minimize all charts and other windows of the workspace and check if you see the Market Replay control window.

              Yes - the control window still reads "connected - replay". I have already minimised all windows, including the control center, the replay date picker is nowhere to be found. There is not perhaps a shortcut key I could assign to displaying it again?

                Unfortunately there is no such shortcut key.

                Can you please send me your log & trace files, so I can further investigate. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att Jason, Market Replay: Little date picker window disapears' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

                  Hi Jason, apologies for the delay in reply. My datepicker does not dissppear always, but it has done so again now. The sequence of steps I did leading up to this were:

                  1. Connect to market replay and choose 5 calendar days (Monday - Friday)
                  2. Check availible data, yes the YM is there
                  3. Open my YM workspace
                  4. Date picker dissapears

                    Open your intended workspace and close any others before connecting MR should resolve your issues.

                      Thanks for the reply sledge, however if I do as you say certain indicators disappear off my charts and cannot be successfully added again which is why I do the steps in that order. I also loose the market replay date picker.
