Volume Based Point and Figure

Hi,

I was wondering how are Volume based Point and Figure charts calculated?
If I choose 1000 volume chart with 3 box and 3 reversal ,How would I move to next column?

Please see the link below under 'Understanding Point and Figure bars' for information how Point and Figure bars are calculated in NinjaTrader.

If you use a base period of 1000 Volume, it will only plot X's and O's every 1000th Volume bar. You will need to select a base period of 1 Tick to get a true Point and Figure chart.

Please also be aware that our Point and Figure bars are cut off at the end of the session. It does not plot continuous. This has been improved in our next major version - NinjaTrader 8.
