NT Freezing or Sluggish on Big News

NT Support,

NT7 becomes unresponsive and sluggish on big news items such as FOMC at 11:00 today, Non-Farm Employment, CL EIA report, etc. anywhere from 1 to 20 minutes.

Any reason for this NT behavior? This is not desirable for having any open positions during these periods.

First, I would recommend contacting the orders desk of your broker to confirm and manage your live positions.

Because of the unusually high volatility during announcements, NinjaTrader must do more calculations and will need more of your PC's resources. You will need to reduce the load on NinjaTrader to account for these periods of volatility.
