    A question about renko charting

    Hey I was making some research about renko bars but I could not understand the wicks of them. Down there I posted an image that will summarize my question. Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your post.

    So that I can look in to this please answer the following questions:

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)

    Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

    What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

    Which Session Template is used in the chart? To check please right click in the chart and select Data Series. The Session Template property is shown on the right side of this menu.

      Renko charting

      When I try to load a Renko chart, I can only get data that starts at the time I opened NT. I do have the lastest version that we just had to upgrade to. Data connection is TDAmeritrade.

        What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected in the chart?

        If you right click in the chart, is the 'Reload all historical data' option available? Assuming that it is, would selecting this option allow data to load normally?

          Kyle, I am trying to use the SPY and the reload is grayed out

            Are you able to access historical data with other stocks? For example, if an AAPL chart is opened does the same issue occur?

              Kyle, Yes same thing on the default AAPL and no data on stocks that I don't already have charts for

                So that I can further investigate please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com.

                In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file.

                You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I will need to review a copy of the file named 'trace.20160229.txt'.
