I'm new to NinjaTrader, and I am trying to put together an advanced, multi-target ATM strategy. I understand the basics of setting the stop and target levels, but it's the break-even, trailing stop portion that I'm not sure about.
Any help would be most appreciated.
The strategy is for the ES, trading 3 contracts.
Initial Stop:
3 contracts - 8 ticks
Target Levels:
1st contract - 4 ticks
2nd contract - 6 ticks
3rd contract - 0 tick ( No set target )
Ok, that's the easy part; now this is where I'm not sure of.
With the Initial targets and stops in place, I would like to implement the following break-even / auto-trailing strategy:
At 4 ticks profit - Move remaining stops to Entry - 4 ticks
At 6 ticks profit - Move remaining stops to Entry - 2 ticks
At 8 ticks profit - Move remaining stop to Breakeven + 1
Once at the 8 tick profit level, I would then like to implement a different auto-trail strategy, whereby for every additional 4 tick ( 1 pt ) move, I would like to move the stop up at an 8 tick ( 2 pt ) distance from the new level. For example:
At 12 ticks profit ( 3 pts ) - Move stop to Entry + 4 ticks (lock in 4 ticks profit )
At 16 ticks profit ( 4 pts ) - Move stop to Entry + 8 ticks ( lock in 8 ticks of profit ).
etc.
Is this type of advanced ATM strategy possible with Ninja? Ideally, I would like to automate most of the above process.
Again, I would very much appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks.
