    running out of threads

    Hi Guys,

    I had an interesting error message from NT7 today. It disconnected from CQG and posted: "CQG: There were not enough free threads in the ThreadPool to complete the operation (LoginFailed)".

    Restarting NT solved the issue and everything is working fine but I wonder - does this kind of error message depend on the type of CPU? Will there be a difference between core i5 and core i7? Is the threadpool private per application or assigned as a general pool by the OS which is shared by all running apps?

    Thanks for your post.

    Since NinjaTrader 7 is a single-core application, changing from an i5 to an i7 would likely not make a significant difference in regards to these types of errors. However, I'm happy to review your files, check for errors, and make recommendations based on my findings.

    To do this, I'd like to see your log and trace files. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

    You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

    The log file will be named "log.20160202.txt"

    You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

    The trace file will be named "trace.20160202.txt"
